Welcome to the inaugural issue of Connect With Confidence, a twice monthly newsletter, designed to help one explore the power of connections. I am excited to share inspiration, tips, stories, and occasional articles.

Most readers know me as the Chief Connection Officer at the West Valley Women Networking Association. This summer the organization celebrated its 20th year of building business connections, opportunities, and friendships for women in the greater Phoenix area.

I am also a sensitive introverted professional who learned to network the hard way. It took me a long time to feel comfortable when networking. I assure you that learning to network, to feel good while networking, is a process and can be done.

I help sensitive introverted professionals connect with confidence, to feel good when networking. I invite my non-introverted friends to also subscribe. I will be sharing content that helps one enhance their networking experience -make networking fun.

The Power of Connections

Today’s Nice News newsletter referenced an article from NBC News on how SuperAgers defy the odds and keep their memories sharp. The article talks about brain scans and how SuperAger’s brains might be wired differently. It also talked about the ‘Power of Connections’ common lifestyle traits centered on staying connected.

“But the brain scans only reveal one piece of the puzzle, as SuperAgers also demonstrated common lifestyle traits centered on staying connected: “I don’t know if it’s necessarily social connections, it’s just connections in general,” study co-author Tamar Gefen told NBC News. “There are people who are connected to the land, there are people who are connected to their ancestry, people who are connected to their grandchildren, who are connected to their art.” Nice News, August 11, 2025.

I really appreciate how they talk about the value of connections, connecting to things near and dear to one’s heart. Staying connected, connecting with confidence can help one have a full and happy life.
